Description

Bring bold colour, structure and wildlife value to your garden with Rose moyesii 'Geranium' - a vigorous shrub rose that brings outstanding summer flowers followed by spectacular red hips.

Flowering once per year, from late spring into midsummer, elegant, arching stems bear masses of single, bright red flowers, each one shining with a waxy glow and centred with creamy stamens. Their open form makes them a magnet for bees, while their rich colour brings vibrancy and warmth to borders and mixed planting schemes.

After flowering, rose hips swell into red, bottle-shaped ornamental fruits that stay on the plant well into winter. They add shape, colour and a touch of seasonal magic, especially on frosty mornings. The hips also provide vital food for birds.

Hardy and adaptable, 'Geranium' reaches around 2.5m tall and can be grown as a tall shrub or trained as a climber. Its naturally arching habit and dense foliage make it ideal for softening fences, walls and structures.

This remarkable rose holds the RHS Award of Garden Merit, for proven reliability and strong garden performance, and it's also recommended as a 'Plant for Pollinators'. It's easy to grow, resistant to common rose diseases, and thrives in most soil types with minimal fuss.

Supplied as a bare root rose, ready to plant.
