'Madame Alfred Carrière' is a classic climbing rose that's been delighting gardeners for decades with its strong, large, ethereal blooms, and nearly thorn-free nature.
This remarkable rose produces a profusion of creamy white flowers kissed with a hint of blush pink. Each bloom is large and full, with an old-fashioned shape that's hard to beat. The fragrance is rich, sweet and fruity.
Unlike most vigorous climbers, 'Madame Alfred Carrière' is gentle to handle. Its long, supple stems are almost thornless, so you can easily train it along fences, arches, or house walls. Reaching up to 5m tall, it quickly covers structures with clouds of flowers and soft green foliage, yet remains elegant and manageable.
Holding the RHS Award of Garden Merit, this rose has earned its place among the greats thanks to its reliability, hardiness, and generous repeat flowering habit. Once established, it shrugs off bad weather and continues to bloom, filling the garden with colour and fragrance from summer through autumn.
Supplied as a bare root rose, ready to plant.
