Roses By Colour
We offer a selection of different coloured Roses
Everyone knows that a red rose is a symbol of love and passion. But do you know that different coloured roses also have a particular symbolic meaning?
A Red rose symbolises love, passion, desire and beauty and was originally associated with the Greek goddess of love, Aphrodite. A dozen red roses can be used as a declaration of love, whilst a single red rose is a symbol of devotion. As well as love, red roses are also commonly used to convey congratulations or as a thank you.
White roses are associated with spirituality, innocence, purity and new beginnings. White roses are a common wedding flower but is also often used as a funeral flower, and at other religious occasions.
A yellow rose is most commonly used to symbolise friendship and is given as a sign of joy, caring and affection. Yellow roses are a good choice for a happy occasion to convey congratulations.
Pink roses can be used to convey both platonic or romantic love and are a good choice to give at the start of a relationship when red roses may seem a bit much! Deeper pink roses are also often used as a thank you gift.
