The Queen Elizabeth II Rose

We are proud to launch The Queen Elizabeth II Rose, officially selected by Her Majesty to mark the Platinum Jubilee. Having acceded the throne on 2nd February 1952 at the age of 25, Queen Elizabeth II is now Britain's longest reigning monarch. After seventy years of outstanding service, join us in celebrating this historic accolade with this stunning hybrid tea rose, bred by Harkness Roses. This beautiful new rose has been produced exclusively by Harkness Roses to commemorate HM The Queen's Platinum Jubilee. It is an exceptionally fragrant hybrid tea rose which combine elements of soft pink light amber gold and cream, and strong sweet rose scent. The foliage is large and dark green, and the plant is generally robust with good disease resistance. For every rose sold in the first five years, £2.50 will be donated to The Queen Elizabeth Scholarship Trust.

The Queen was presented with a Duke of Edinburgh Rose from the Royal Horticultural Society (RHS) last week and watched as it was planted in the gardens at Windsor Castle. The Monarch described the deep pink and double-flowered rose as "lovely" and the tribute as "very kind".
